This shot of Riley was from a spring season step-up session in the Whistler backcountry with Poorboyz.  One of those days that is just so hot you can’t really even fathom how you are working in the snow.  I shot it with my Canon 1dMKIV and a Canon 300mm f2.8 L IS.  Spring light is always tricky to work with as the sun gets higher in the sky much faster and you lose all the definition in the snow.  It was also a week or so since fresh snow had fallen to it was hard to find an angle that didnt show many of the thousands of snowmobile tracks all around the area we were shooting in.  Trying to keep things looking as fresh as possible is very important.
