In a move that's got the local winter sports community asking questions, Alaïa Parks announced today they will not be continuing their partnership with Helveparks & Crans Montana. It's not great news for park skiers in the area, who have an increasingly small number of parks to choose from, with no significant park in Saas-Fee or many of the other resorts in the surrounding area.

Alaïa Parks has been serving up some serious freeski and snowboard options, and we've been loving it both in the winter season and during their epic spring sessions. @Twig often skis there when testing park skis and the Buldoz crew are regular visitors.

The partnership, which includes a hotel in Crans Montana, a skatepark and a wave-pool in the valley has been a game-changer, creating a killer space for athletes, thrill-seekers, and anyone who's ever strapped into bindings of either kind.

But don't hang up your gear just yet, while Alaïa Parks is stepping away from Crans-Montana, they're not leaving the scene. If you're wondering what's next for freestyle skiing and snowboarding in Crans-Montana, hit up info@mycma.ch. We are told they will continue to offer a snowpark, though it remains to be seen whether they can hit the heights of the Alaïa offerings.

Alaïa Bay (above, feat. Finn Bilous) will continue to operate, as will the skate facilities near Crans. What they offer for on-snow options is currently unknown.
