Michael Gregory Named New Terrain Park Manager for Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain, CA – Mammoth Mountain has appointed Michael Gregory as the Manager of the world-famous Unbound Terrain Parks. Under the direction of Josh Chauvet, Gregory will oversee all operational aspects of Mammoth’s terrain parks.

“Over the years Michael has become an integral part of the Unbound Park crew with his passion and knowledge of the resort. In his past role as Unbound’s Outside Operations Supervisor, he helped oversee the day crew, photo shoots and events with great success,” said Josh Chauvet, Action Sports Brand Manager at Mammoth Mountain. “With Michael leading Unbound, he will help further our success in the winter sports industry as one of the top parks in the world.”

Gregory was born and raised in Mammoth where he spent his winters on the slopes and in the Unbound Terrain Parks. In 2007, Gregory graduated from Whittier College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Management. After starting working in the terrain park four years ago, Gregory brings his ambition and education into design, construction, maintenance and operation of the Unbound.

"I am very exited to be leading the new Unbound. Mammoth has always been at the leading edge of the industry, but especially in the park,” said Gregory. “With Josh’s creative drive and unparalleled experience, and the existing operational team that we have here, I have no doubt that we can recreate the action sports experience at Mammoth as we know it. I’m thrilled to have one of the best opportunities in the world at the resort and parks that I grew up in.”

Gregory just returned from a season abroad at Perisher Ski Resort in Australia where he organized and structured Perisher’s first legitimate Terrain Park Department. Gregory played an integral roll in organizing Mammoth’s major on hill competitions including the U.S. Grand Prix of Snowboarding, the West Coast Invitational, the Volcom Peanut Butter & Rail Jam and the Roxy Chicken Jam.
