Matchstick Productions’ “FOCUSED” HDTV seriesnominated for two Emmy awardsCrested Butte, CO - March 13th, 2008 - Matchstick Productions’ HD Television series, FOCUSED, comes back for more with two Emmy nominations for "Outstanding Camera Work" in two separate episodes from Season Four of the series, now airing on RushHD. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – the Academy that decides the nominees and winners for the prestigious television awards – announced the list of nominees on Thursday. RushHD, part of the VOOM Networks, shares in the honor of these latest nominations on the heels of FOCUSED’s 2007 Emmy nomination. "Human Flight" and "Freestyle Skiing" are the two nominated episodes from Season Four and are just two of 13 episodes in the most recent season of the series. The "Human Flight" episode is a study of wingsuit BASE-jumping and demonstrates the boundaries of human aeronautics. In this episode, athletes jump from Norwegian cliffsides and capture never-before-seen first person perspectives, allowing the viewer to see the action through the flyers’ eyes. "Freestyle Skiing" features five of the top athletes in the game as they take on the ever-evolving world of “newschool” freestyle skiing from park jumps to halfpipes to competitions, as one of the skiers chases the action from revolutionary angles. This announcement marks the third Emmy nomination for Matchstick Productions and RushHD. The FOCUSED series was also nominated for “Outstanding Camera Work” in 2007.
