Largely recognized on the international scene for its contributions in the fields of poutine, full contact strip bars, and Celine Dion fan clubs, the province of Quebec has yet to host the good people at Level 1 Productions.

However, Grass Root Co-Operative will welcome Level 1 to Quebec for the very first time this coming October 26th. The provincial premiere of ‘High Five’, Josh Berman’s latest masterpiece, will take place in Montreal at Bar Le Swimming on Boulevard St-Laurent, a street known for beautiful women, fast cars, expensive bottles of champagne, and overpriced pasta dishes. Le Swimming is located at 3643 St-Laurent, a short walk above Sherbrooke Street. Doors open at 7:30 pm, and it is strongly advised to arrive early.

Check out http://www.leswimming.com. Cover charge is $7, and, with apologies to the youngsters, you MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO ATTEND. With professional skiers and their groupies in attendance, one cannot predict the debauchery which will ensue.

An exceptional after-party will be presented at the club by Montreal’s finest old school hip hop and house DJ’s. Sponsors for the event include Bernard Trottier Sports, DNA, Powder 11 Clothing, Ballz Boardshop, SAO by Stacy Adams, R9 Connections, Orthodox Rails, and Progression Ski Camps. In other words, the greatest gear giveaway in the history of movie premieres will be unfolding before your eyes. Come and win schwag from said companies, and get all tense, nervous, and sweaty when we give out the grand prizes: a DNA Jacket, a pair of Volkl skis and Oakley goggles courtesy of Bernard Trottier Sports, and skateboards provided by Ballz. As Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., aka Biggie Smalls, once said,

"If you don’t know, now you know."

For those of you west of Quebec, drop in to the Savage Beagle on Oct. 11 to catch the Whistler premiere of 'High Five'.
