It's official, skiing's biggest film bonanza, the High Five Festival in Annecy, has been cancelled for 2020. Scheduled to be the 10th anniversary of the event, plans for this year were to be bigger and better than ever, but as with so much of 2020, the pandemic situation has intervened. Regulations in France have made the event impossible to run and the organizers have been forced to cancel. It's sad news for the ski scene, as the event doubles as the biggest gathering of industry folk of the year, but there are bigger forces at play here. See you all in 2021.

Gaylord Pedretti (Founder of the Highfive Festival and Like That agency director)

“ Rather than waiting indefinitely to share the news with you, today we wanted to send you this message. This is life and we are well aware that we are not the first to experience these restrictions. We must respect the case of emergency and the regulations imposed. The High Five has always wanted to be good-natured, multigenerational, so obviously we want more than ever to protect our olders and all festival-goers, riders, partners ... with whom we work. Our passion is to bring people together, not to divide opinions. We will keep all of that warm and come back stronger in 2021, hoping we can count on you. "
