Sunshine Village is becoming the unofficial home of Newschoolers; @curt_ and @milo-mcsenderson hill of choice, home of the NS ski test and a spot where we’ve hosted many contests and filmed some banger edits. Heck, we even have our own rail there. We love the Rockies, the long season and incredible parks are the perfect staff stomping grounds and crucible for our extensive ski testing and Roofbox Reviews.

This is one hell of a send into the drink!

With that long season comes some of the warmest most beautiful days of skiing in North America and with that comes Slush Cup, the longest-running end-of-season pond skim party in North America. Legend says the tradition goes back to 1928 when some would-be-Newschoolers of their era took advantage of the warm weather creating natural, slushy, water features. From these humble beginnings, Slush Cup has grown from an understated unofficial end-of-season send-off to a huge May long weekend send-fest.

This is one of the raddest end-of-season parties you’ll get to attend. 100-plus revellers send off the season in style. Battling through slush and high water to earn the title of Mr & Mrs. Slush Cup with an impressive prize purse of $1000 cold hard cash, a $1000 gift card to Sporting Life, and a 23/24 season pass. With such a big prize pool, you can expect to see the rowdiness unfold.
