Do you like skiing?

Do you like powder?

Do you like watching stupidly good athletes skiing in head high powder?

You're in luck! The Freeride World Tour is back for the 2018 season with the first stop in Hakuba, Japan. The Hakuba stop is a much needed change of pace from the rocky, exposed faces the FWT normally uses as venues, but the terrain will still offer a playful freeriding venue for the skiers. It will be interesting to see how the judging will play out, due to just how unique the Hakuba venue is compared to previous ones.

The competition level only gets higher every year and is now reaching ridiculous levels of talent. Leo Slemett and Lorraine Huber will be back defending their world titles against a busload of talented skiers who also have their eyes on the prize. The world titles could be anyone’s this year.

The competition weather window will be from January 20th-27th with live streaming on the FWT website. This first Freeride World Tour stop of the season and will no doubt be an epic one to watch!
