The World Championships of Snowskating went down on April 20, 2024 at Solheisen in Hemsedal, Norway.

We had 40 competitors representing 8 countries: Norway, Sweden, Germany, Lichtenstein, El Salvador, USA, Canada, and South Africa.

It was a fun family-oriented event where 30 of the skaters were male and 10 of the skaters were female. 4 of the skaters were juniors, and there were many masters.

The location was stunning at Solheisen, Norway with an Elevation of 800m. It was sunny spring conditions on 4/20/24 with firm pack for warmups and slush for the contest.

There were 4 events with a Winner-Take-All format in Banked Slalom, Chinese Downhill, Rail Jam, and Freestyle Jumping.

The Slalom course was a hand-shoveled banked slalom boardercross with gates.

The Chinese Downhill is from the top, beside the terrain park, over the road, and down to the bottom of the main T-Bar.

The Rail Jam was small/medium boxes and featured a banked wave and large hand-set tube.

The Freestyle Jump was a square-shaped gapped jump into the crowd and DJ.

Top finishers in the competition were -

Thank you to Panda Photos for the incredible shots. Thank you to DJ Babs Dabolina for breakfast and music. Thank you to the incredible staff at Solheisen Ski Area.

It couldn't have been possible without the sponsors: Hovland Snowskates, Session, Gripall, Care Packs, Hallingdal Reklame, Stad Kystmat, and Steezy's.

Most of all, huge shoutout to Reidar Oren, who worked tirelessly to build the courses and produce the event!
