Men's Ski Superpipe Qualifiers went off today at the first stop of the Winter Dew Tour (aka the Nike Open) in Breckenridge, Colorado on the gigantic and record-breaking 602-foot long superpipe.

The field of 46 was narrowed down to 11 qualifiers, with the top three from each heat and the next top five overall moving on to tomorrow's semi-finals.

John Marks

Jon Marks qualified first in the second heat (and first overall) with the highest score of the day on his first run which started with left 9 mute followed by a right 9 tail, left 12 tail, flare mute, left 10 tail and switch alley-oop 7. Jon's run stood out with his amplitude and a good variety of tricks complete with grabs on all of them.

Wing Tai Barrymore

Hot on his heels with the second highest score overall was last weekend's Grand Prix winner Wing Tai Barrymore, who is already off to a stellar start this season, followed by the multi-talented Simon D'Artois from Whistler, BC.
