At only 18 years old, Swiss skier Andri Ragettli can now add the world’s first quad cork 1800 safety grab to his list of numerous accomplishments. Ragettli managed to land the trick which entails doing 5 rotations while simultaneously dipping his head under his body 4 times, flying 35 meters over the Suzuki Nine Royals snow feature at Watles, South Tyrol, Italy.

Ragettli was pumped to land the trick: “I didn’t plan on doing this trick, but it was the perfect day and the biggest and best jump that I have ever jumped. I was feeling it and I am super happy that it work out right away!”

Event founder, Nico Zacek was equally stoked: “The trick was picture perfect. Conditions and the shape of the feature were ideal for trying new things and Andri felt ready to go, so he sent it almost immediately.”

Known for it’s innovative courses, the Suzuki Nine Royals brings together the world’s most gifted male and female skiers and snowboarders for a week of photo-shoots and filming to push both sports to the next level.

While Andri made use of the biggest jump, Coline Ballet-Baz (FRA, ski) and Sebbe De Buck (BEL, Snb) tested out the many course features including the left kicker, the hip, and the numerous rail options with the help of Tobias Müller (GER, ski). If the athletes' current use of the course is anything to go by, more incredible world firsts can be expected on this feature with limitless options, especially during the public contest day on Saturday April 1st, 2017, at Watles, South Tyrol, Italy.
