King of Style 2009 by Peak Performance

Faction rider PC Fosse, who scored an invite for the 2009 King of Style through the video qualification series, could only watch from the sidelines this year as fellow Norweigan Andreas Hatveit took home the crown. While training training for the big show last weekend in Hintertux, Austria, PC had a very bad crash. Luckily he did not break any bones but he knocked himself out pretty good. The concussion he sustained forced him to watch the event, from a hospital bed, on Swedish Television during their live broadcast of the big air finale Saturday night November, 21st.

PC was really bummed at losing this chance to show his stuff to the large audience gathered at Olympic Stadium in Stockholm. A little joy showed up though, when he saw fellow countrymen Andreas Hatveit on top of the podium. The pack was tight with Phil Casabon cruising to a second place finish with stylish switch Japan 1080’s and Sammy Carlson in third after stomping a couple of double-corked 1080’s similar to Andreas Hatveit’s winning run. In all it was a great competition with huge crowds cheering on all the riders and making this 3rd edition of the King of Style by Peak Performance another great success. PC will be healthy again soon, preparing to get back in the action in time for the 1st stop of the Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado, December 17 – 2o.
