NEW YORK – January 19, 2009 – Following the recent announcement of the creation of Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, Alli continues to build both the sales and marketing functions by appointing John Stamatis, as Vice President, Marketing & Partnerships. Stamatis is currently the Director of Sports Marketing for Pepsi Cola North America and manages Mountain Dew's sponsorship of Dew Tour and Winter Dew Tour, two of Alli's premier properties. He will lead up Alli's sales initiative as well as manage and activate all partnerships. Stamatis will oversee all marketing functions for Alli, the Dew Tour, Free Flow properties, and Alli's new affiliate properties; Maloof Cup, AMA Motocross, King of Wake, and China Invitational.

Stamatis brings a wealth of experience from his 8 years at Pepsi as both a brand manager and sports marketing leader, as well as from his early days at Octagon and the NBA. In addition to his time on Dew Tour, Stamatis has helped various Pepsi brands meet their business goals via sponsorship activation of NFL, MLB, NHL and Racing assets.
