Gstaad, November 04, 2008. The best Ski Freestylers and Rookies will demonstrate their tricks on November 8th, 2008 on the Big Mama at Glacier 3000. At the Monsterpark Invitational, 32 Freestylers will compete for the title "King of Monsterpark." Afterwards, everyone is invited to the event party at the Chlösterli in Gstaad.
Before winter even officially begins, the 32 best Freestyle skiers from 8 countries will compete on November 8th, 2008 on the Big Mama at the Monsterpark in the Glacier 3000 ski area. Among the 16 international pro riders that will be competing are Thomas Kobel from Switzerland and Henrick Harlaut from Sweden. The event is also open to 16 rookies. This gives them the opportunity to see what it is like to compete professionally. It is Glacier 3000´s goal to support these youngsters by allowing them to compete at such events. The competition will be measured in the Ko-System. The winner will receive 5000 Swiss francs.
The Monsterpark Invitational has something to offer for both spectators and fans. During the event, a DJ will provide music and drinks will be served at the bar.
In the evening, the official event party will take place at the Chlösterli in Gstaad with DJ Sign and have a show with the Splashcats. Photos and videos of the Monsterpark Invitational 2008 will be shown during the party. A shuttle bus to Gstaad, Saanen, Schönried, Feutersoey and Gsteig will be available to everyone.
