Line blend sizing

looking at a pair of blends for this season. Im 5'10 and 130lb. generally prefer shorter skis for the nimbleness. i ski like 50/50 park / all mountain(glades, groomers, sidehits, etc.) any advice on sizing is appreciated, probably gonna get a 171 or 178

178cm 100%. blends are a softer ski and ur also taller than me and I ski 181 and 183cm skis lol

I’m 5‘10 and recommend whatever size is one up from 178. A ski that soft, you definitely want more than less. It won’t be any less nimble than the 178, just more supportive when you need it most like on hard landings

Not that you asked, but my opinion id hold off right now. Unless you got a really good deal on the skis. My blends lasted 4 days of skiing. Fully detuned and all. Line wouldn’t cover anything. The new blends coming out are different to the current ones. Smaller and stiffer, but durability is still up in the air. Not saying they’re better or worse. Just that they’re untested and I would want to hear more about them before making a decision. If you really love the idea of the blends get a pair. But I’ve heard better things from the 101 chronics tbh

I'd would say the 178 or the 185 depending on where your location is if your from somewhere with more big mountain vibes go longer, you'll appreciate the stability when charging harder at faster speeds, if there's less big terrain and tighter trees something shorter is gonna be more fun to bast around on

considering that you spend about half ur time outside the park, and that blends are hella soft and light and I'm pretty sure they have less effective edge than most park skis, I'd say you probably want to go longer. I'd recommend 178, you'd get more stability while I don't think you'd have any issues with the swing weight

This^ fuck lines lol I cracked the edge on chronics in four different places doing Vishnu shit on the first day out with them. Fully detuned. I legit just gave em away since I had gotten them for free lol their customer service sucks too. They rarely stand behind any of the claims I submitted when working at a shop.

I’m getting them pretty cheap, so If they’ll last me a season I’m fine with it. I don’t beat on skis too bad. I rode a pair of blade optic 92s in the park and resort all last season (60+ days). The edges broke in a number of places and came out of the tails, but they skied fine.

Just over 300$. Not nothing, but half of msrp. So if they last half as long as whatever other skis (that fit my interest) I could get for 600+ it’s fine by me.

the durability of line skis is getting better then it was to, and any top sheet delaminations they've been taking care of with either a replacement ski or a credit

just hope you got some on sale cause full price for blends is cooked

New blends just dropped. Size 175cm is available in the new construction, and they are the most durable blends we've built yet. Claiming that :)
