Kick Turn Swap

Has anyone seen a kick turn swap done on a rail? Imagine a gnarly down rail doing a back kickturn swap (uphill foot turning first). Then you can mix it up with things like staying on one ski, keeping the other up until the spin off. Any vids of kick turn swaps out there?

I know Andy Parry has done similar things like stepping back foot in front of front foot into hippy killer, but I want to see a proper kick turn swap. Front kick turn swap seems doable by someone more skilled than I. Back kick turn swap seems terrifying.

If you imagine it’s switch on then it’s a back swap.

If you imagine it’s lip on then it’s a front swap.

Try it again but with real skis. Idk how easy it would be to get a ski around like that while staying on a rail

But i don't think iver ever seen a full 2 step swap on a rail its a big challenge to just half swap finishing next movement you need to do some actual wizardry to not cross your skis

To make it work with real ski here you would need to hop and make your rotating ski go under the one on the rail then lock on a the caribou and do the second foot anyway heres George's vid if your in this thread its an important vid to watch

Your caribou killer is sick! If you find a longer box, bring the left foot back on into left foot forward slide then it’d be a really cool 3 swap thing—right foot half swap, surface 1, then bring left foot back down

No, not a custom build. It's a pair of tramp skis from Switch and the rail thing is from Snowboard Addiction. I would say it's somewhat helpful--for me it mainly helps me practice/visualize then when I get on snow the motions feel more familiar. Like training on a tramp for jump tricks--the motions will feel familiar but it's not a perfect carryover, lacking the speed and momentum involved in skiing. As an example of the benefit, I do feel like a two-step kick turn is possible on a box for me after trying it on here simply because I can visualize it way better now. That's the main benefit I would say--visualization.

Unless he was autistic and had some sort of hyper fixation on it then I'd be supportive, but otherwise it's inexcusable to waste ur time doing dumb shit like this when you could be learning how the real world works, and how to support a family.

Only women and autistic kids should be skiing park

This comment was in poor taste and I was just trying to be offensive. The truth is I hate all people. White, brown, red, yellow, rainbow—they are all trash. Cats are the master race. They control the world. And they aren’t little ass kissers like dogs are. Dogs are the most ingratiating little bitches there are. Wagging their tails, licking you and jumping up on you, telling you they love you even if you’re an abusive alcoholic who left them tied to a stake outside while a fucking tornado was rolling through your yard. Cats on the other hand, they have fucking dignity. I like cats.




As for the thread topic, that shit’s sort of whack ngl. Just looks awkward. Skis are by far the one of the worst utensils for sliding rails through, so even pedaling correctly looks sort of awkward in a sense. I guess you do you.
