I've got a few Head skis mounted with PR (PowerRail) bindings. Was thinking of upgrading to the Protector PR 13 GW, which I can simply slide onto the existing PR's.
Unfortunately, the Protector's delta is ≈2 mm larger than what's on there now (and yes, I'd notice that difference). If I were mounting the Protector flat (no PR), that's easily addressed by adding shims under the toes. But these have the PR track, which means the shims need to go under the track, which distorts it.
I currently have 3 mm toe shimming under the track of my FF16 bindings, and that's worked fine. Should the PR track be just as accommodating?
The alternative would be to gas-pedal the boot.
