tomPietrowskiNew parts will be on the website from August but I’ll send you a msg and figure sending you out a part sooner.
turntableW service.
deadhead420That's the kind of service that makes me wanna ride k2s. too bad I'm a masochist that prefers head raptors
abjectwoeIm pretty sure if you try the cortex you wont go back to the raptors.

tomPietrowskiThanks! Well the Raptor was a boot we used heavily in the development of Cortex as that was the boot Sam K was skiing in previously and he wanted something equal or better. Maybe slip your foot in one when you get chance.
deadhead420idk about that my raptors are pretty built out. WCR 140 96mm shell with Surefoot heated liner + footbed and Vibram alpine lifter plates is top notch.
After taking a closer look I am genuinely curious to check out the cortex 140. I've got another year left in my current boot build but after that I'm interested.
Couple of quick questions:
-Have there been any issues with the boot fracturing on the mold line for the "Fastfit instep"? That feature looks so nice for putting on cold boots but I've seen failure quite a few times with various brands.
-Can you swap the grip walk soles to alpine and if so does the boot conform to iso 5355 for race bindings with the pin inserts?
-What is the plastic thickness of the toe box compared to race boots? I typically need toe box grinds for me to size down conformably.
The biggest turn off for me is the gripwalk soles. I've still got a couple of race skis kicking around and swapping soles multiple times in a year sounds like a pain in the ass. Especially compared the vibram lifters I use rn, that rubber is the softest and grippiest of any ski boot I've seen outside of non-compliant tour boot world. It's so damm nice for sketchy boot packs and it's ready to click into my race skis or freeride skis for mid-day ski swapping.
Thanks!

abjectwoeYou could take a look at mine one day at Bach if you want since I'm not sure if any shop in Bend stocks K2 boots. I have a pair of 130s right now and am going to get 140s before next season.
They're sick boots. Only problem I've had is getting them off when I tore my calf. I totally forgot I could have just popped the BOA off.
deadhead420doubt you are a 25.5 huh? Tore your calf this year? that sounds gnarly
