Pivot 2.0 is super sketchy

been riding with broken heel piece plastic since day two on these things. Which is a cosmetic issue but still shouldn’t happen. But today at snowbird I set my skis down to step in and the back of the heel plate



and forward pressure indicator just fell off. This is a serious problem and I am starting to think LOOK is cutting corners in their manufacturing process which could lead to serious injury. For a $500 binding this shit is absolutely unacceptable. Anyone else had this problem?

This is a known problem and an easy warranty. Bring it to any shop and they'll sort it

i bought 4 1.0 pivots last week so i never have to switch to these new shits.

The 2.0 seems like such a fail on the first launch, I’ve heard of this happen so many times this season it’s insane. Hopefully Look will dial it in soon before they get rid of the old design completely because right now the 2.0 is far from indestructible like the old ones.

I heard about these QC issues a few months ago and stocked up on 5 sets of the old pivots for cheap so I never have to worry about it.


the new pivots aren’t even an upgrade anyway. Larger boot adjustment range doesn’t matter because you shouldn’t be swapping boots that often in the first place if you’ve gone to a good bootfitter.



They’re identical in performance besides the cosmetic change

I'm not surprised, because Look has always packaged their bindings like total sh**t for shipment. If they can't be bothered to take care that their paint doesn't scratch off or their bindings banged around in shipping, why would they apply even more care to their manufacturing.

One thing to note is these issues only were happening on the early release blue steels. I haven’t seen a single issue on any of the new grey ones or the copper ones and those are already out in the wild.
