So I know there are some people on here working on their lawn tractors for fun or business. Help me keep the old family John Deer L111 running so we don't give up and try to buy some sort of new fangled machine.
Long story short the L111 has some sort of electrical issue. The past 2 seasons the thing has not started on it's own and I have needed to use a jump starter every time. Put a new battery on it and it drains away to nothing immediately and does not recharge. Have not been able to figure out the issue but the jump method has been working so in the meantime we've been mowing. This week jumped it no problem then mowed and turned it off. Tried to jump it to drive it next door almost immediately and now it just clicks. Looks like it wants to turn but it does not turn over. Went through all the electrical connections and everything looks good. What should I be checking next?
