I have two skis, one with pivot 14 and other with attack 14. Same skis and center mounted on both.
on the pivot I’m at 7.5 DIN and 8 DIN on the attack. But I am consistently getting pre release on the attack if I land switch heavy or land off a rail a bit too shuffled. I had my bindings checked by two shops and they said its all set correctly (AFD and Forward pressure)
i can do the exact same tricks and on the pivots I never pre release, even when I land shuffled I get the chance to revert back to straight.
my question is, is it normal for people to set their attack bindings to higher DIN than normal? I like having the attacks for days when I’m hiking because they’re easier to take on and off but also nervous about setting a higher din and getting hurt. But I’m also losing confidence in trying new tricks with these because pre release also hurts.
