DragonSlayer7100% use the 75mm brakes with the 88mm Vishnu. It can easily be bent to fit that and 95 would be too wide and catch your pant legs.
Finn-s08I recently bought a pair of P15s b95 on sale with intent to mount the on a pair of Vishnu wets however I currently also have a pair of old race skis with a pair of pivot 18 racing b75s and as far as I can tell is just a standard pivot 18 on a race plate that can be removed however they are from like 2014 and all I hear about old pivots is how the brakes snap and the half moon exploded after like a run however theses have been used and seem to be fine I really hate having my brakes too wide and I was wondering if it made sense to take the old brakes off of the pivot 18s and put them on the new pivot 15s with Vishnu wet (88 underfoot) or I should just mount them with the 95mm brakes and maybe bend them in a little
Finn-s08How much do you know about the durability of old pivot brake plates because From what I’ve heard they have Chinese sweatshop quality
SmokedGoudaPivot brakes are pretty malleable… bent em a few times and then back into place and havent snapped yet…. But I also havent regularly skied with pivots in ovwr two years. Going back to them was a bit weird snapping into haha or my tyrolias have given me too many pre ejections that I have ptsd of bindings…. Literally pre ejected today twice.
Bloc_chainIdk why anyone would ski tyrolia or marker if they aren't paid to when pivots and salomons exist

deadhead420Bruh don’t put Markers and Tyrollias on the same level. and you really should say when STHs exist, cuz every other Salomon binding is garbage
this post made by marker gang
Finn-s08How do you even get STH’s I’ve look on the salmon website are they only in Europe or something
SofaKingSicki think the strive has replaced them. but just google search for them, you see them for decent prices all the time. also remember that they have a couple "different" brand versions, for example there are armada-logoed ones
Finn-s08I wish they were more available I like pivots it’s the only binding I’ve never broken but damn are they expensive

Paul.I've always heard the old black 75 brakes were bomber. I think the arms are easier to bend without snapping and the ring that holds the dildo arms doesn't crack like the current ones are prone to. Not sure about the half moons, but if they're the plastic ones I'd imagine they might explode due to age
Finn-s08I’m not home rn but I’m like 90 percent sure they are metal. What issues arise if the half moon does brake are they still skiable
also what does bomber mean

Paul.Bomber means durable. If the half moon breaks then you need to buy a replacement. Slopestyle.com sells pairs for $25. You have to unmount the heel to install a new one so might be something you would want to pay a shop to do. Half moons dont break that often tho so I wouldnt worry about it much

deadhead420bruh the strive ain’t shit. It halfway looks like a shift so therefore I hate it
Finn-s08It’s also objectively not as good it’s significantly heavier and from what I’ve heard pre releases quite a big more than the raised toe on the sth

PartyBullshiitCompletely the opposite. Pre release was far worse on the sth with the adjustable wings. If any of the screws on the wings came loose even slightly people would have terrible pre release. The strive dropped the adjustable wings which solved the pre release issues.
I’ve had pre releases on my sth. None on my strives. Same din settings. Wings came lose on the sth.
