How to make money for skiing stuff.

how can i make some money besides a normal job, im too young for a real job but old enough to get one and plan to but dont have one currently and the ones i can get dont pay a bunc, is there a good side hustle related to skiing or something that i can do over the summer that you guys do?

Yeah work at a ski shop, you won’t make a ton of money. But you won’t be paying full price for the skiing things you want. See if they’ll even let you work off some gear. We do that at our shop

If you can swing the fee to get certified, ski instructing doesn't pay great but it gets you a pass and gets you to the hill. Used to teach all day then ski all night back in the day.

If you're into park at all get into teaching freestyle lessons as soon as you can cuz it's way more fun

The normal kid stuff. Also if there's ever an event going on in the summer near you can bring a big cooler of water and sell $1 waters. Can make bank at the right time and place

I was going to say wax skis, join a locals page and post ski tuning. Or you could try to get a job instructing. I think I started instructing at my local when I was 15. Like everyone said mow lawns, rake leaves, mulch gardens, pull weeds yard worm never goes out of style.

In middle and early high school before I could get a job I learned to wax skis and would do it for friends and kids in school. Paid for my lift tickets or would trade for a ride to the hill with older high schoolers who could drive. Highly recommend. I convinced my parents to buy my waxing kit too because I did their skis each season to save them money. Good skill to learn in general too

I did window washing with my buddys for a couple summers. all the gear costs about $70 each and once you get going you can really make bread. I remember one day i just went out by myself and did 3 seperate houses making almost like $250 in 3 hours. dog walking is also a pretty good one. you can always just go and knock on doors and ask people if they need help or not, moving firewood, painting a fence, trimming hedges, all that typa stuff. one last one thats super underrated is buying a cheap sticker press and making custom skiing themed stickers and selling them at the hill. Im talking anti ski racer stickers and shit like that. good luck bro Im hoping to see you post a moneyspread sometime soon

I’d say your best bet is a local ski shop. You get huge discounts off of stuff which would probably make up for the money you’re loosing if you were to get a better paying job. Plus you get to meet some sick dudes that work there or just come in to look around. I think it should definitely be on your lists for places to look at. Good luck my man!

Once your older I'd suggest construction as a good job for high school, college and young adult. Ask around for your parents friends or acquaintances own a construction company that you can get a job at. Learn a trade and you can make some soild $ for years to come. plus construction is booming in the summer and slower in the winter so works good for skiing. And it gets you strong for skiing. I do residential concrete and I have friends that are framers and excavators. Just don't get stuck in construction forever, I see all the crusty old heads with hurt backs all too often
