What camera should I get

My budget is around 500-700$ depending on how many uses the camera has + lenses. I am pretty experienced having a full insta page with photos. I own a Nikon d600 and a f/4 70-300mm and a f/2.8 24-105mm. I am trying to be able to get good quality photos but still be able to record small clips and mini movies to post. I also shoot other sports like football. I will mainly be the only one with the camera. I will probably be doing follow cams and on the knuckle. I have my gaming pc that I edit on. I use Lightroom and photoshop which I am very experienced on and I bounce around on what to edit videos on (any recommendations). Would be down for a cheep camcorder also. personally i do 90% of filming on my 3DS xl. you should do the same

I like DaVinci Resolve for software. Why don't you just use your D600 for filming? You could then spend a few hundred on a mic and stabilizer.

Ya I have thought about that idea but the only thing about the d600 is the back screen is fixed

I tell everyone this, the Sony a6000 is the perfect budget/first system to get into. Will teach you tons about photo and video and has so many lens options etc. amazing starting point.

Just going to say, usually you can’t see the screen well anyway if it’s bright outside. I’ve filmed on a D7000 and D700 and it’s been fine. I’d give it a try. I use aPanasonic GH3 for filming too and it works nicely. It cost $300 CAD so you should be able to find a pretty cheap one used.

A used Sony a6400 or Panasonic GH5 could be great options for you, considering your budget and needs.

Since OP's question kinda got asked, im hijacking this to ask about cameras that are both cheap and shoot 120fps... tall order i know I just want to be able to use slow motion and not lose frames

what are the thoughts of using a rig and smart phone? i’ve found it to be a low entry price and high quality shots. my set up (which is compatible with all smart phones so if I get a better phone it still works) is beast grip ($140) and a wide angle lense ($210) which is comparable to having a camera in itself but i also got a weebill s gimbal ($260) which is easy to use and gets very smooth shots even while skiing. so it’s a $610 setup that with be effective with any phone i upgrade to
