Christian_Bale1:50 looks like the ledge that jetskis guys hit in Eileen Goose lol
Yeah I think you’re right and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Zahner hit it too. Idk where it is cause Pat Lennen is from San Francisco and no way it’s there lol

Strictly and Jet guys did both hit it, and theres another clip in this video from Idaho so maybe its there?
One of my best friends who was a sick snowboard was also a really good rollerblader. Hit massive dfd stairsets and shit.
I see how it parallels with skiing and know a lot of people here dabble but usually you think of snowboarders skating. He skated a little too but was cool to see.
Also skateparks seem to get hyped when a roller blader shows up these days.
What skate parks you going to that get hype over a roller bladers lol? You might be hanging out with the wrong age group bud

Pretty much everywhere city or small town anywhere in America I've been. Everywhere is different but I've been to at least 100 skateparks across the country and that was the vibe I saw in recent years.
Can't really tell if it's core or not...However the community is really close together and pretty small...but i think that doesen't matter as rollerblading is fucking great.. and there's endless amount of amazing videos which are until now totally HARDCORE! Leading the Blind was a lifechanging video for me..As I was little kid listening to metal and didn't really feel too comfy wearing giant pants and big tshirts as that was the norm back then - then I got my hands on Leading the Blind I saw Broskow rocking tight jeans and having guitars in his part - life finaly made sense and i found myself - until this day. I'll never change, and until this day I get shit for skiing in tight pants haha. Damn, almost got deep and emotional. Anyways...talkin' rolleblading which i do now for more then 25 years..., ofcourse I need to chip in with my little summer edit from some time ago. https://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/984134/Daniel-Hanka---Blading-Montage-2k20

i’ve also noticed a huge resurgence. one of the reasons i switched to skateboarding is because i couldn’t avoid the 20 minute conversations about my valos every time i went to a skate park lol. wasn’t the case even 4-5 years ago.
rollerblading definitely helps with skiing, but remember pavement fucking HURTS.
also learn skatepark etiquette. im guessing fruitbooters got shit originally for the same reason scooter kids do now. they are ignorant to the flow/rules of a skatepark, which is dangerous for everybody.

That's a weird way to thank rollerbladers for skateparks existing past 1985 lol. Literally, they would have been demolished for dog parks or whatever if the inline crowd wasn't occupying them. People forget that skateboarding almost completely died before the 90s, there was a time when the skate scene was like "oh fuck, rollerblading is gonna win" and somehow all it took was calling inline "gay" to completely flip the course of history lol

if i gave a vibe of “rollerbladers are stupid”, that’s not what i intended. my issue is with people who stand in bad spots/snake and aren’t receptive to advice. same goes for on mountain.
i think the whole “rollerblading is gay” stigma is over exaggerated. as a rollerblader in my youth the shit i got was pretty minimal.
really i think main factor came down to skateboards not being attached to your feet. think of the amount of tricks you can do with a skateboard in an empty garage vs rollerblades. my guess is people with rollerblades ran out of the equipment/obstacles they needed to “progress”, but people with skateboards had enough to keep going even on rainy days (Jamie Griffin grew up on a Scottish farm or some shit lol).
and tbh, i wouldn’t watch rollerblading if it were vert centric like in the 90s. thank god for people like Them Skates and okboston (Taylor’s a homie and the reason i started blading).
