Booster strap under or over the shell?

I just bought a booster strap for my full tilt drop kick boots and wondering which option is better? What’s the benefit of each option?

1. Directly over the liner and under the shell
2. Over the shell

From what I’ve hear from bootfitters always over the shell, you want the least space between your shell and liner

Not sure to understand well the question but there is no point to put under the shell I mean you can put hundred boosters under that’s just useless af or I just don’t get what you re talking about

I like under more. I feel like that way the liner feels tighter and better around my stupid shins and even more stupid calves. I don't know does it effect the functionality of booster strap somehow tho.

I usually do over the shell while skiing, however while touring... A friend of mine, who works as a mountain guide adviced me to use booster strap over the liner while touring with Hawx Ultra XTD 130 and damn. Since that moment I have zero blisters while touring, while this was pain in the ass before.

The manufacturer explicitly states that it was designed to go on the liner and under the shell.

Do whatever you like though.

Try it both ways.

I have FT ascendants and I went back and forth and landed on under the shell. The boot flex feels smoother with a linear progression if that makes sense, and I feel like I have an even distribution of pressure on my whole shin.

When I go over the tongue, it feels like all the pressure is concentrated on the strap location and the flex starts soft and then hits a hard point.

Everyones feet are different, try both ways and see what works for you.

I like mine over the shell, and im pretty sure that's what the instructions say.. But if under is more comfortable then just do that!
