Two words. Dope Snow. No matter how raw at skiing he is which he is, he supports the wackiest shit. I have never even seen head freestyle skis in my life and dope snow is like the vail equivalent of clothing. Lifeless and boring.

I don't ride Armada skis, but Phil is still my favorite skier. Sponsors exist (in theory) to help athletes pursue the sport full time. Dope Snow is wildly cringe, but Jesper is still one of the best skiers in the game and deserves to get paid to ski

yeah i totally agree, I'm not mad about a skier getting paid. My poorly worded point was that if you're gonna hate on dopesnow (and I do) it should be less about how the gear looks and more about the company itself.

Jesper seems to be very loyal to his sponsors.
He has been on Head for as long as i have been able to walk. Gopro, Redbull, Sweet protections for more than 10 years.
Whatever these brands are paying Jesper, it has to be good amount since he has stayed for a decade under the same brands.

for sure, at the end of the day who cares about what brand is sponsoring a skier? As long as its not some wildly bad person i would be happy that any skier is getting paid a ton to bring more money into the freeski industry cause that isnt really a bad thing.

Does have an extent though, some would def choose no pay, some gear arsenic sponsorship over a crazy high pay dopesnow sponsoship but thats up to the skier

Good for him for getting the bag and cementing his image with some brands. Hopefully they keep supporting him for a long time.

Yeah and again, depends on the goals of the athlete. If you want to do it full time with no job and mommy and daddy don't work at Blackrock... You'll probably opt for the paycheck

I remember in one of the freeskiswe videos they said something in swedish that translated roughly to "Jesper Tjader walks on water and the judges chose not to see" and aint that the truth. Man deserves his flowers in the comp scene as well on newschoolers as one of the best of our generation
