applesaucingDoes anyone have experience with center mounting ARV 94s? I ski about 80/20 park vs all mountain and have spent the last 5 or 6 years riding true center on factions and lines and I noticed the ARV doesn’t have a true center line which makes me wonder if center mounting them is a bad idea. Would go with freestyle mount but it looks very far off true center any advice appreciated
midwestcoastI always try to my boot sole reference mark directly over the center of the ski's radius. I find that this is generally on the "freestyle mount" line (furthest forward line). As a rule of thumb, the mount generally ends up -2.5 to -4.5cm of true center, depending on the shape of the ski...
As an old shop guy, I hate when people asked for true center mount. They're skiing in front of how the ski was designed to be ridden. This results in people's mechanics being all out of whack because they're putting too much weight on their heels to engage the back half of the ski's edge... It makes sense if you're throwing dub 10's all day, but for us mere mortals it's dumb...

SkiEnthusiast420How do you find the center of the radius?

SkiEnthusiast420Where did you end up mounting? I have the arv 94 as well and ski 90% park and I agree the freestyle recommended is pretty far off (about -2.7cm from center from when I tape measured)
I was thinking split the difference and mount -1.5

applesaucingI ended up mounting them true center. Picking them up today will update you on how it goes. I know I probably don’t need true center especially since they’re not perfectly symmetrical but it’s what I’ve been doing the past 5-6 years and I didn’t wanna mess with what’s been working for me
