Does it worth for a park beginner to upgrading from a 2-piece boot to a 3-piece boot?

Hi NS!

I am sort of new (but very passionate) to the freestyle skiing world.

In the beginning of the season, I bought my first pair of twin tips: arv94 with p18 (please don't shame me for that, had a good deal on them). Loving the skis. Don't even consider going back to directional/carving/all-mtn skis any time soon.

Nevertheless, I have a rather good fitting Atomic Hawx prime 120 GW with an expert booster strap, a rubber shock-absorbing footbed, and a custom insole. I am 190cm (6'2), 95kg (210 pounds) rather advanced alpine skier.
There is no "real park" at my home ski resort. Mainly natural features, bumps, and amateurly hand-made kickers here and there.

Taking in account that for me there are more or less 2 months of skiing left (15-20 days), should I upgrade to a 3-piece ski boot (K2 Fl3X Revolve Pro or revolve TW), or keep my Atomics until the next season and hope for some upgrades to the revolve line-up? I've tried the Revolve Pro at a shop, fits me like a glove, but the flex seemed kind of soft (maybe that's that progressive flex everybody is talking about).

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

3 pieces in a boot is not better than 2 pieces, they are just different ways to make a boot. If you have a good fitting boot just ski them until they are dead and then start shopping. Despite what you hear here, buying Full Tilts does not make you better park skier

If they’re not painful I’d recommend waiting until the end of the season for the deals. If you can find some three piece boots on sale now or a nice used pair then that’s a good option too. They definitely make a difference in the park.

Yeah of course it is that’s 50% more pieces! Currently looking at 7 piece boots that will allow me to dub 12

Sounds like you have a great set up just like Bobby Brown or Dennis Ranalter. If you’re comfortable and happy with the boots, why do you think you need to change?

also: progressive flex means the flex gets stiffer the more you push it into it’s flex pattern. Starts out softer, ends up becoming stiffer. It ramps up, providing more support and more power.
