line always seems to have their skis designed and in this case made pretty early on. someone above here dropped a photo from tw instagram and looked like the boots were still this seasons. K2 fl3x designs always been later released
I think that guy is right, but you cant even see the "TW" in the first photo. I don't have any proof of my sighting but I could see the TW pretty clearly. if your right then whats to say these aren't tw pros for next season either?
I believe that's the blue version of lines prototype graphic they use to test new skis before release

thats even cooler, theres supposed to be more durable this next year right? I've never ridden TW's but i've head that they are bad quality, but are going to improve

I'm not sure. Line's quality has been shit these last few years. Many threads on here discussing line's durability and delaming issues. Sucks, Pre-2015 line was peak. I've definitely moved away from larger brands in recent years. I've noticed substantially better quality out of smaller independent brands than mass produced skis.

Correct on the prototype. I had a chat with Alex Koford when I saw him on them at PC. He said that they have been redesigning the construction, playing with flex and a whole number of things.
I also talked to Mitchell Brower because he was on a similar prototype topsheet. It was the black and yellow one (I've also seen Will on them). They have been trying different sidewalls on those.
It is always encouraging when companies try to make their product better.

Definitely nice seeing them trying to make their skis better. My og chronic cryptonites were tanks. I'd give anything to get my hands on a pair of those again.

thats sick, meeting pros is always cool especially when they leak updates on new skis

Depends on what you're looking to get out of a ski. I've been riding on Fatypus for 7 years now and their skis are probably the best skis I've ridden. Not a smaller brand but, recently got to test a pair of Nordica Unleashed 98's and they were a blast and picked up a pair. ON3P, Moment, JSkis and so on are some good skis to check out. Obviously smaller brands are going to charge more but its totally worth it and I know Fatypus usually has good deals at the end of the season trying to sell off their remaining product.

tomPietrowskiWait until you guys see the boots to go with the skis! Possibly the best looking FullTilt/FL3X boot in a lot of years
Color me excited. Have an old pair of first chairs that are almost ready to be replaced. Bummed the only way to get the boot I want (ft soul shell and wrap liner) is the TW boot. Why did you guys move away from the wrap liner on most offerings?

I think you will like what we have next season :) more options coming.

Other thing to remember is most pros don't like to switch boots as often as they switch skis. Once a boot is fitted (which can take time depending on whats needed) they may not want to switch out. Skis are skis so most don't care about skiing a new pair a few times a season. Im going to grab a pair of his new boot on Thursday so maybe ill be the first Tom in them this season.

I started skiing park in 2008 and line already had a bad rep for durability then.

Anything from the early 2000's isn't gonna be the most durable. the tech just wasn't there yet. what i was trying to get as was 2011-2015 was the best era for line skis. I have a pair of 2011 chronics that still have plenty of life left in them. something with the way line is producing skis now has caused a huge decline in durability overall compared to skis from the 2010's

Weird, I was around then too and in my experience the skis were solid, I still have some perfectly functional 2010 Anthems and 2014 Chronics, took 3 years of heavy park abuse to break my '08 invaders.
I don't think a single person I knew on Lines (other than the Afterbangs) broke theirs, until the quality issues that started a few years back anyway.

Tbh the bad rep could have come entirely from Afterbangs

mitch is oen fo the cooler people I've gotten to meet. him and my uncle were homies in college and he showed me a clip of him streetskiing. changed my world. met him at alta a few years ago, rad dude
I have had 3 different pairs of Lines the last few years and the TW are the only ones I had issue with. I loved riding them but I broke them in about 6 weeks of riding. The core itself cracked and the base/edges were basically holding the ski together.
Last year's Chronics however are probably my favorite ski of all time. I rode them all season last year and have used them all season this year with no issue. I ride Elm Creek/Hyland Hills Minnesota so they take a beating.
My old Blends lasted me a full season without breaking any breakage either.
It's feeling like it might be TW model specific. I might by another pair of last years Chronics just because I love them so much for when my current skis break.

Definitely not just the TW's that have an issue my guy. There's countless threads on here if people snapping/blowing apart their blends. The chronics seem the most stout of their skis these days. My old chronics from 2012 were fuckin tanks. I'd kill to get my hands on another pair
