On3p Jeffery 100 vs Jski Allplay vs 4frnt switch

after 5 years of no skiing, im finally looking to buy a freestyle/all-mountain ski. I want this to be my do it all ski for now until i get back into the swing of things and get more over time.

I want something that can do fresh snow/east coast ice and chop but also something i can take in the park and do some rails too.

I am 5'9" 160 and thinking something around 175-179

if anyone has skied these skis and could help me choose, I would greatly appreciate it

Allplays are my favorite park skis but I also have vacations and if you're considering a J ski for a "one ski quiver" then the vacations are a much better option. They are also playful but a bit wider so they hold up in deep snow, not too wide for rail tricks, and not too soft so you can charge on them. The shape is fun and the edges are beefy, highly recommend it's a really versatile ski and has been my go to since I got them

Jeff 100 is super great for everything and stuff but I heard the 90 is more tailored toward east coast skiing.

Edit oh I was mistaking it for the Mango. I use my jeff 100s everywhere but they definitely struggle slightly on icier stuff, especially after my natural detune from rails for a season

Man I really really like the narrower Jeffrey. I split time between West Coast and the Poconos, and I think 100 is still fine for the East Coast, even on the mad icy days

I have a couple days on my new Jeff's 100s and I love them. They definitely prefer softer snow, but they are manageable on ice.

I had switches that lasted me 2 seasons and they were awesome skis getting me into skiing park and learning rails but after a few seasons of hitting rails consistently they got a bunch of edge cracks. Maybe on me should have detuned more but I did a decent detune, anyway I also got a few pretty bad core shots but again I ski fairly aggressively. Which I think these skis thrived skiing aggressive terrain and hitting decent sized drops or jumps in the park I felt super stable on them. I honestly loved these skis fairly low swingweight and I thought very jibby and fun for all mountain skis. This year I got jeffs and really enjoy them alot so far they feel heavier and might be more stiff then the switches for butters etc. They are awesome but they arent great skiing on ice but I love them on soft groomers and pretty much everything. So having both skis id say 4frnt great intro to park ski probably more affordable and more directional, but still a blast to use in the park and out of the park I loved it. Jeff a heavier more durable burly park ski that can be super fun all over the mountain. Good luck let us know what you decide!

I had some Allplays a couple of years back and they are still the most fun park ski I've ridden. I've been on a pair of mango 100's and they are also super fun but definitely more sketch on ice

I would go Allplay

Considering the bass graphic ones. I wish i knew about them earlier they had some of the best graphics collabs ever that are gone now😭

I live on the east coast and that’s where most of my doing will be done. I do take trips out west tho, but would you still recommend vacations over allplays for a one ski quiver? Appreciate you

It's really hard to say, but both the allplays and vacations are very fun. When you take a trip out west you will enjoy the vacations more, and if you ever catch a powder day you'll be glad you have them. That said if you ski mainly iced out groomers and rails you'll be glad you got allplays. Definitely a coin flip but I would say vacays because of the versatility.

Also their refund program looks pretty legit so no reason not to try i guess

awesome, i may do that at some point. I was honestly considering center-mounting these because i think i want to get another pair of wider skins for just powder skiing. Are allplays good for powder? because if they are i will probably use these for powder/all mountain and mount 2cm back and just get slimmer skins for park and rails

Haven't really skied powder with the allplays. I can vouch for the vacations though. They are incredibly fun in soft stuff. Their softer profile allows you to be in the snow rather than plowing through it as some stiffer skis can act.
