You had guys like JP, JF, Vinny, Philou back in the day...

Now it's filled with a bunch of sanctimonious pr*cks like Cody Townsend and Dave Amirault. (Is Dave even considered an athlete? He calls himself one but isn't listed on any of their content.)

Granted, Mike Douglas is still on the team. But he's King Sanctimonious. Watching any of their content just makes my eyes roll back in my head.

These guys need to drop the holier than thou attitude and just ski. Except for Dave, he can't ski. Never could, never will.

Outside of the Blank, they don't really make free ride skis anymore. I always wondered if they will be updating the NFX. I loved that ski - crazy stable, no speed limit. Their team is still stacked in my opinion, just not many US guys. Huge focus on their race program too. People forget they're not just a ski brand. I assume their footwear carries the company...

The fifty is literally the best thing in skiing at the moment... its creating a paradigm shift where people are realizing you dont need fancy resorts or scrape your dome on concrete to enjoy skiing.

Why would you ski street if you can ski pow. Either way youre hiking. Id rather be hiking in the mountains where avalanches are my biggest concern and not going to jail for "trespassing" or "vandalism" or w.e other bullshit crimes cops will try to pin on you.

You will quickly realize that what you call style isnt for yourself, but how others see you. You will learn function always trumps form. you will be humbled by your surroundings and your lack of ability. Cody has definitely gone through a transformation and i would 100% not call him a prick.



Also Salmon armada arcteryx PP are all owned by the same company. they are trying to compartmentalize their riders with a brand image. back then it wasnt the case.

First of all, you're grossly minimizing the danger someone like Cody is in while he's skiing, it's 100x more dangerous than street skiing. Second of all, nobody gets in trouble, let alone goes to jail for skiing street. C'mon.

Given that skiers have been on it for over 18 months, it has to be getting close to finalized. I spoke with a Salomon rep and he said that it was briefly mentioned at last years’ sales meeting, so it could (likely) be presented this year and at trade shows as a 24/25 MY

only issue… will be ranged here in the US? Last two seasons/MYs of the NFX were not ranged here, but that is an more niche, comp-level ski…

I've been on the QST 106 and 98 - was surprised how fun they both were. Not for me, but a great shape for a large segment of people.

I've come to accept the NFX won't be revamped, it wasn't the most accessible ski for a lot of folks, but damn once ya learned to ski them they were friggin rippers. I've still got a pair I keep a sharp edge on for pipe and icy groomers...

I'm super intrigued by the mid-fat ski I spotted a couple times in Summit last year.
