Box slide to forward

ZbarkyI've been skiing my entire life and just got into park a couple years ago Im restarting this year and learning all the basics both ways, I can do a box slide to switch pretty easily but i cant get a box slide to forward, should i try to learn how to lock or scissor
or should i try to counter rotate or is there another way? Any advise will be greatly appreciated

get on the box switch and land forward

For any box that's about as wide as your boot length, a very subtle scissor should be all you need! Just put a little bit of pressure on the heel of your front foot.

For a wider box, say like 2ft, you may have to hop on a little closer to the edge (the edge of the box should be a couple inches behind your heel). Same motion as above, just takes practice to get the approach and timing right.

If the box is like a big wide dancefloor don't worry about that at all just huck your hop on and go all the way around for the 360 to forward 📈😎👍

You are probably turning your shoulders perpendicular to the box like your skis. Use your shoulders and head to direct where you go. Soften the shoulders but keep your eyes focused on end of box. Then, as you approach end, turn your shoulders to face forward and let your hips follow. This will require you to put slight pressure on your edges but usually it’s not that noticeable

i had that problem pop good and look towards the end of the rail. Also dont forget to rotate back

You wanna have the coping on the side of your front foot basically under you. Like if you slide right foot foreword, pretend the right coping is a rail and aim for that. Makes it a lot easier to feather and get foreword.

That said, fuck boxes once you learn to hit a tube/rail.
