5'9'' around 145lbs age 31. Skied on 185cm model few days last season and i would recommend those over 175cm.

Mounted -3,5cm from middle. If you go for 175 i would go a bit further back, like -4,5 -5cm or recommended.

One clip from skiing trees, one from easy slope and last is a bit steeper and higher speed.

Thanks Vissi. They didn't seem chatty once you hit the flatter section like I thought they might be. Thanks for the info leaning towards the 185. I really think they will be much easier to maneuver than the Patrons which I still enjoy.

They have a ton of rocker and ski really short. 185 will definitely be the way to go

If maneuverability is number 1 then obviously go the shorter size. Personally I would go 185 because it's actually 183cm after pressing. That's not horribly big feeling even at the recommended mount point. It also depends if you are defining trees as actually tight trees, or if you think of trees like that wide open spread out run in the video above. Tighter trees will make you think a bit more about sizing but I still vote 185.

i mean you're fine either way. 175 is exactly your height so that'll def work, but 185 would too-- those things ski super short

JJs ski ridiculously short IMO. I have a set of 185 ULs and i'm 5'10" 155lbs and have them mounted at the freestyle line which is 2.5" back from center. I'm fairly agressive and put a lot of forward pressure into my boots and skis and really like to drive the shovels. Sometimes this has me feeling like i'm going to go over the bars even in pow. The standard JJ will definitely be a bit stiffer than the UL which will help, but with all of the rocker on these skis I would almost always tell someone between sizes to go up.

I have ARV 96's in a 184, Faction Prodigy 3's in a 184, and an old pair of Marksmans in a 184. 184 is pretty much my go to size, and sometimes I truly wish I got the 192 JJ. It's a great ski don't get me wrong, but again I would recommend sizing up at least to the 185 with how deep their rocker goes. They are crazy playful and really fun when the conditions are right.

Yeah i had same problem of going over when i had JJ mounted close to middle, skied on -2, -3,5 and -4,5cm and they definetly feel better for me when not mounted so close to middle. If i was going to buy a pair of JJs now i would grab 192s or go for something with flatter tail.

To be honest, I liked the old JJ better, it just felt more surfy, but then again thats when I was a kid. And been really wondering if I need 116 underfoot anymore.

Are the new ones too heavy? I am trying to get away from heavy, but they new ones are still 400g lighter than my current pair.

They are my heaviest ski and also my widest. You will feel the weight difference. The ski is a surfy pow ski and doesn't really feel heavy on your feet. To me it just seemed kinda unresponsive, but maybe thats because it wants to surf and float
