Though it will most likely not be to my taste, I do respect skiers striving to make their own money rather than having to beg for money from multinational corporations that don't give a fuck about them.
CharlzHubDamn why is NS so hateful. There’s a slim chance they do a good job with this and make some quality products
Damn, why are you such a dumb fucking prick? There's a slim chance this is a legit company and not another bunch of gapers trying to cash in on the skiing culture/industry.
The ski industry gear in general is just lacking. From big brands putting out bland boring cheap gear, to the waves of 16 year old that think they can start an outwear brand out of there garage.
The glory days were late 2000's for gear, since then it is all downhill in style. The world will never see another og saga jacket, or gsuite.

It will be very interesting to see. They both have incredible reach through social media, and if they use their platform wisely, they might pull off something with substance and influence. There will be a lot of haters, but they don't care. Go back to the Votaw 2 planker podcast and give it a listen. He talks about his experience in the apparel game and how he knows he is hated on, but is able to put it all in perspective. As long as they stay true to the sport, have fun, be good people and listen to their customers I wish them well in their endeavor.

Good points, we'll see how this goes. However, I would guess that this brand is going to be targeting younger teenagers and kids who spend a lot of time watching instagram reels/ ski tik tok. Given the skiers that are running it, I think that's a logical assumption. But we'll see, maybe they'll be making some good quality products that last, maybe some handmade stuff idk. They might end up supporting some skiers who wouldn't get the support otherwise. Or maybe they'll make cheaply made gear manufactured in Pakistan with bright colorways that are designed for the skiers' reels to stand out when scrolling the For You page. Time will tell
GrandThingsNothing on this site has ever triggered my millennial rage as much as this comment.
I had saga too, im literally a millenial, we all looked retarded, pretending that shit is still sick is lame and inaccurate. It was super corny and looked horrible, but everyone had it so nobody cared. People wearing "shitty custom pants" is the 2020s version of wearing a saga anomie jacket in the 2010s

the 2010 anomie was garbage. This is the first production year 06-07. The scuba, beaver fur, and moss mix and match colorway, is the epitome of style.

looon baby. I was an academy kid back in the day. I haven't been east coast in 10 years, no idea what loon looks like these days, but 05-08 they had some pretty proper features.. They used to do redbull schooled...I dont know if u have ever seen any of the old waterville valley edits, but the sketchiest rail on top of a school bus feature I have ever seen. Remember watching andrew hathaway back in the day do a 270 on, literally a 30 foot gap to the rail. got to compete again the likes of lj streni, nick martini and literally stood no chance. 17 year old lj shredded.

PFT school bus rail was nothing compared to the bulldozer boxes at Waterville.

paige.I was annoyed enough to look it up and I was right: Cloverone/Clover1. Is there some connection between skiers and clover that I missed the memo on?
that's funny. of all the years of saga gear i have, my 2010 xl tuxedo jacket is my all time favorite.
will always regret not jumping on one of those first-gen setups though- the first time i popped over to their site i was like 'what is THAT!?' totally revolutionary

saga is a cautionary tale for any business that wants to absolutely demolish its reputation and run a business into the ground. When you start cheaping on design, and materials, customers notice and stop buying your shit. When you change fit/cuts to be more mainstream it alienates your core business. When you then start doing regular seasonal sales, people stop buying full price outerwear. Then the death spiral begins.

The majority of your comments are overly aggressive and negative. It's never too late to change, skierman.

Well since you asked, It’s currently 2:08 am, and I’m scrolling through newschoolers. I probably should be sleeping though because I plan on waking up early to finish building the bike jump I started yesterday before I drive to pick a couple friends up to go mountain biking at 2.
I'm in Alaska, so it's only 11:14pm. I've been on newschoolers checking out what the website has to offer, I've only been on here for a month and a half. I'm about to make myself a Tequila Sunrise while I smoke a cigar and listen to the Tim Dillon Show. Tomorrow I'll be waking up at 8:30am to eat breakfast and then bike to work at around 9:15am (leaving myself enough time to shower and change before I clock in at 11:00am). It's 9.4mi there and then another 9.4mi back when I get off at 8:00pm. It's a bitch, but it keeps me in shape.
Where are you located? And if you're in the US, what state are you biking in?
