I had a Yorkie that climbed multiple 14ers and never barked constantly and all the other annoying stuff. Its the same reason pitbulls always maul children, the owners of small dogs are consistently shitty across the board and don't take time to be with their pet or properly train it lol
But once you wake up and see the trvth small dogs are just as fun and take up way less room in your bed and are easier to bring literally everywhere, so much better

Nah my dog isn’t overweight also 100lbs was a bit of a stretch haha one of mine is ~50 the other is around 80 maybe and the other is around 100 point is that small dogs are an L
TOAST.most people I know with dogs over 100lbs are dogs that should not be over 100lbs, they are just fat because lack of exercise.

This seems to be true from what I can tell. So many small dogs are so unnecessarily aggressive. Larger dogs seem to have a more friendly disposition. I honestly have no idea how much it's a question of nature vs nurture (not gonna get into the contentious pitbull debate). But it would make sense that people with bigger dogs feel more responsibility whereas people with smaller dogs feel like their dogs are inherently less dangerous and therefore don't feel the same responsibility to train them properly.
I feel like during the pandemic a lot of people got dogs because they were bored and without considering the responsibility that they would be taking on. I'm sure that's been exacerbating this issue.

After the lockdowns ended the amount of shelters that were overwhelmed by owners returning their dogs was pretty disgusting. Our shelter was putting down dogs after 7 days of taking them in because they couldn't house and feed all of them. Pretty sad
