Watchu Want in a Webisode Series

Yooo so we got a little squad going and been stacking mad clips for a webisode series and just dropped episode 1 almost 2 weeks ago ... trying to consistently post one every other Thursday but here's the link to episode 1 if you want to check it out:

Anyways, we have basically 2-3 more episodes filmed but I was just curious what the people of Newschoolers thoughts were on how much B-roll/non skiing to skiing ratio they find ideal and what B-Roll/non-skiing things you like to see?

This could go. Decent idea. My advice would be to not force anything. You don’t have enough film to pump out another episode by whatever day of the week? Don’t force it. Film and then decide how often you want/can to drop videos, otherwise the content becomes mid.


also I know iPhones are convenient as hell but you will thank yourselves for getting a legit camera setup, something with a fisheye and that you can do zoom shots on. Yields a better product and they’re much more fun to film with.


other than that I like where this could go, you guys def got the skiing ability to make something work.

ayyy thanks and yeah your right about that the convenience factor is just so damn hard to pass up we got a legit camera set up (Canon g30 and Opteka fisheye) and use it whenever we hit street and sometimes on the mountain but not as much as we should

That’s a sick setup. If you haven’t already, get one of those handles for it that you can grip from the top, makes filming stationary and lines with fisheye way easier and more stable. Stoked to see where this goes.

I couldn't put a number on the ratio, I think it always depends on how good the broll is. I think whoever's editing should consider how interesting the broll is. If it doesn't add much to the video you might as well cut it. Also I think it's good to not let certain shots play for too long.
