Stupid noob Pivot question

Ridiculous

Is there a way I can run the Pivot 12 or 14 toes without that dumb afd plate dealie with 2" of extra footprint ahead of the front screws?

I don't need 15 or 18 toes but I do need the shorter footprint. Does Look make some alternate afd plate for these, or do I need to get the 15s?

I gotta admit I find it super hard to believe that the 2 centimeters in front of the screws is gonna make a difference in your skiing
