I used to have a large decal from them on my ride. It was the people that gave me the nickname "Dominator", so I went with it.
Many folks at Bachelor call me Dom, or Dominator all the time.
After more work with this paste, I found it's easy to over apply. Just need the pad loaded a little bit, and keep spreading, and pressing a bit and the whole ski is covered with even less than I talked about. No so important with the FFC at 0.27 per gram, but more important with the Elite at 1.20 per gram.

No, not liquid. Liquid waxes are mostly solvent, so wax can spray out of a pressurized can.
You get very few applications from a liquid product.
no i know they're different, but you use it the same way you'd use those other on-hill things like spray or rub-on, right? like ideally your skis should be waxed but this helps a little whether you waxed or not?

what I got from the video was you'll want to clean and prep the skis like you would for a nice hot wax but then you apply paste let it set for a little then buff it in. I dont think this is product you'll slap on mid day with cold/wet dirty skis in the parking lot

Yes, well prepped base, then you can use the paste for a long time. I've gone 24 days now, and bases look fantastic, and haul the mail!

If it's not snowing, then if you have a brush, and something to buff with, all you need is 30 minutes to let the wax set-up.
All in all, easy in 40 minutes.

FFC is cheap and fast. For maximum blast, try some Elite. Either the NS2P (new snow) or the OS2P (old snow) paste waxes will still run well even if the snow temps are out of range a bit.
Update: FFC base prep and glide hot wax and floater paste arrived this morning. No time to hot iron, applied floater paste extremely haphazardly in the parking lot while putting on my boots.
This stuff is legit. Feels like the best wax I've ever used (FWIW the best I've used prior is swix hot wax), and I even half-assed it like crazy. Can't wait to see how a proper base prep/hot wax/scrape and brush performs, given how well a paste applied in 20F with no scrape or brush on a completely destroyed base does

That's good news. I will assume the Floater is a hard wax with an antistatic, as all the paste have that added.
I just set up a pair with the FFC 2c (19F and colder) should be very cold tomorrow when I try it.
If you got the FFC 2c hot wax, you will need an iron close to 240F. It's very hard! Then scrape just after finishing. Let cool a bit longer before brushing.

Still yet to use the iron this season. Keep in mind, all my bases have been preped with Dominator Base Renew waxes.
I'm still stoked as all get out! The glide is insane. Speed to do the deed!

I know it doesn't work as well if you just put it on a base burned ski. Bases need to be in good shape, and preped for maximum performance.

On that note, I tried a 0 F application, after 35 minutes, it never dried, so I believe one needs either a spring day, or an indoor room temp. for it to work correctly. Paste needs to fully dry.

They have Floater paste that they claim is for backcountry (ungroomed snows) for all conditions. It's currently sold out.

ive held off on these because I cant decide what temp range, I'm guessing as someone who waxes their skis maybe a couple times a season any temp range is going to be better than what I usually ski on

The best deal is 400 gram bar of Graphite Zoom. The Race Zooms are awesome, but expensive.
With the Race Zooms, one starts with a well waxed and brushed out base, then either rub on cold, or touch the iron and rub on base. This way you use the minimal amount of wax. Let me search my videos to find you an example.....................................................okay, watch this one.

I have a Tahoe trip coming up but I fly from south Florida. So weight is a premium and as such I usually never bring brushes etc to wax my skis on trips.
ill be skiing a total of about 25 hours actual snow time. Would you think a single coating would last my entire trip?

That would be pushing it for sure. All the paste are air travel approved, so just a brush to go, and you will be better off.
There's no mess, so in a motel room, or wherever, you can do it.
Also, you could just rub on wax and buff out anytime with the Zoom waxes, for example. Rub and buffs don't last that long, but can work much, much better than nothing, and that can be done even in the cold. Good luck.

If I was going to use a single brush with the paste on the trip would you recommend a nylon or brass?
The wax call for powder was for FFC P2c (the hardest paste), still he said he was happy.
Hi Jacques.
I used the FP2 on my DPS skis Wed & Thurs. It worked very well in spite of the cold weather. All I did was steel brush my skis. Apply FP2. Fibertex several hours later and nylon finish brush. Did not rewax between Wed and Thurs.

Because the Elite, and FFC paste have been so awesome, I'm going full steam with a Legacy paste kit!

I did one day on the F1p, and it was good and fast with excellent glide, but can't really say it was faster than the Elite fluoro free right now.
Okay, I tried an application at 21F. It did not cure after about 40 minutes. I wiped off with a paper towel, then brushed after another 10 minutes or so. Skis ran fine.
In conclusion, I would say at below freezing temperatures, it's not going to set-up.
