Bent 110 and mounting

Just got my bent 110s and have pivot 15s… I think I’ll be in the park somewhat often, but I don’t wanna sacrifice the fact that they serve as a great playful powder ski as well. If I center mount the pivots instead of -3 from true center, will I be sacrificing any powder/backcountry and alpine capability?

In addition: are bent 110s possibly a decent option for me to use in the park if I prefer my park skis to be 100ish (+ or - 10cm) or should I consider adding a more park esque ski to my quiver.

There's no reason to mount the bent 110 at true center.

It's not symmetrical ski, it will just put you in front of the sidecut and make it float less.

it sounds like you’d benefit more from mounting the bents for pow and getting a dedicated park ski

Do what you want but id probably rock somewhere between -2 and -3 on any ski that isnt symmetrical especially if you are gonna use it in and out of the park. You wont lose much in the park with -2 but you will have kinda weird ski dynamics if you go true centre.

To add to what was said above with being in front of the sidecut the 110 has more rocker in the front than the rear so you'd end up being infront of the true centre of the contact patch on hard snow which just feels kinda odd.

My takeaway after riding them is that they feel very, very balanced at the recommend line and I'd be hesitant to move it

100% agree, wasn’t a huge fan of the ski but it did feel really good at recommended as far as what it was designed to do

I’m at -3 rn from true, do you think going to -2 will make any difference really?

No. It will not. So mount them at recommended, and enjoy an awesome ski!

Most often, when folks obsess over mount points it's because they're trying to get a ski to do something it wasn't meant to, or they bought the wrong ski. It's fine to mount skis a little forward or back from recommended to avoid holes, or for whatever personal reasons, but obsessing over a centimeter or so when it comes to mount point with most modern skis is just a waste of time.

Center mount on a pair of of Bent 110 powder skis has got to be the dumbest idea just because you may ski some park. If you bought bent 110s and its your only ski and you do want to ski park either don't bother with park or get a mildly fat all mountain ski something around 106 so it can still be used as as you want.

I’ve ridden pow skis in the park and I promise you, even at -5cm I have never noticed the difference.
