GrapeHunterDid he get blocked by SnowShare?! hahahaha me and a buddy were laughing at the FKS that he had posted recently
He was reselling a pair of pivots I had just sold him for $50 more. I called him out and after reading through this thread I messaged snow.share about him and I’m pretty sure he got blocked lmao
poor dude is stuck with some goofy ass pivots that just say rossignol and 180 on them instead of having a dope design that says fks and looks sick as fuck… yeah I’d be trying to overprice those, feels bad…
dwt802Only pirate fks are worth that, smh what a clown

It's always nice to see a fellow orange binding connoisseur...!
(I'll buy any and all rossignol FKS for a reasonable price)
What's a reasonable price these days..I feel like people value used pivots at like $200. You can typically still find rossi gs/superg skis for sale with the 70mm brakes for cheap. I've picked up some for as low as $50.

I'm willing to pay a lil' extra for the orange due to sentimental value, but ~$150-$220 seems reasonable depending on the color chipping, style of toe, and width of brake.
I would pay more for an 18 as its all metal, a little less for the old style 14, and zero for the GW 14s with the big plastic window on the toe, those are ass.

Upon further reflection, the only thing different about my pair (and any pair) of Rossignol 18s and a brand new pair of Look 18s is the color of the binding and any chipping that has resulted from the ~10 years the orange color binding has been skied.
If the binding appears to only be slightly used/chipped, I understand why they're asking such a price.
$285 shipped for a pair of 18s with some chipping doesn't sound too bad when you alternatives are the current colorways.

I’ve also felt this way like if they’ve see 10 days on snow in 10 years I’m all for like 250$ for a clean pair of older pivots because literally nothing has changed if anything some minor parts on them have gotten cheaper.
Tired of kids putting prices and not actually selling… seriously man?
So snowshare is where kids go to flex gear they bought, aren’t selling, and aren’t using?
I unfollowed snowshare long ago so idk what’s up with the page but it seems like it’s time to pull the plug on it or bring someone with enough time to moderate onto the account.

I think he was trying to trade for a size down. Guessing he thought you have to list a price or something to get reposted?
Pull the plug on it? Are you joking? Dan does that shit for free.
You can go contact thriftboards my guy. $10 an item to be on his story.. No, I’m not making that up.

A bit harsh but since you don’t follow I’ll share the current.
Not really sure how I could moderate what other people do in DMs after listing. Seems beyond my control.
as far as the time that I put into it. Here’s a screenshots for behind scenes of ONE share I did yesterday and the top bar to give you an idea of how many posts I share each day. This doesn’t give the entire experience because of how many posts I don’t share for not following the guidelines.

Respect the effort you put in. I see threads like this roasting people as crowdsourced moderation more than a jab at you/snowshare.

I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful. I know you do all of this for free and that it must take a tremendous amount of time. So thank you Dan for creating the page and running it for as long as you have.
I don’t follow or run the page so I don’t know what the ratio of positive interactions to negative interactions is but, on NS it seems like all I see are negative ones. I’ve thought about selling some of my old gear on there and having people just pay shipping but I don’t want to see it being resold like I’ve seen happen.

It’s all good. I’m not taking anything personally. When I respond to something like that it’s to share information with people who might be reading and forming an opinion.
As for you choosing to not use it- that’s exactly why I said this on the first page.
“Snow share is still helping people get good gear for cheap every day. And helping people get a lil money in their pockets when they need it. And extending the life of gear. Make a best finds thread.”
sucks to know this thread would prevent people from benefiting from the 99% of good occurring.
human nature tho, the negatives get way more attention.
You're the man for running this account. It is my go to place to find soft goods. Also a great place for finding a good home to gear that isn't getting used enough. I appreciate all you do.
Honestly wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a intern or volunteer moderate snowshare maybe. That way we get a higher quality snow share and dan can have a little more time to do other things

switchlip2I’m pretty sure the last time I bought wets that was the presale price lmao

I know they've gone up but not more than 450 I think, plus some frees stuff gets thrown in. Not to mention they don't have bad edge cracks. I guess whoever posted thinks they're worth a lot more cuz that topsheet isn't available any more. despicable
