Any specific Workouts for park skiing at age 14 and 110 Lb?

Hello I was wondering if there was any specific workouts for park skiing that would benefit me? I'm 5'5 110 lb and 14 years old I would say I'm advanced in the park but not expert, I'm Just trying to figure out workouts that would benefit me the most. Let me know any tips or help!

As far as I know there’s not really a specific workout regimen for park skiing. I’d recommend lifting free weights and yoga. Free weights will help build your strength and stability. Yoga helps flexibility and injury prevention. Also, just ski as much as you can. Skiing is the best workout for skiing. Don’t forget to eat well and drink lots of water :) also, don’t drink piss

At your age lay off the heavy heights and stick to running, box jumps, band exercises for your quads/knee. In my opinion your not at the age to really benefit from squatting and throwing weights around

Look up Plyometrics

Gets you strong pops, quick feet and lateral stability.

other than that, I would sign up for trampoline classes. They teach you the basics and you can work up from that

Lifting weight isn’t bad for his age, even heavy weight you just need good form. 14-16 is the best time to start working out if you want to get shredded

I would say maybe starting light isn’t an issue, but lifting heavy is absolutely NOT a smart choice for someone in middle school

Yea, middle schoolers have no business doing power lifting workouts. Keep it light, and do body weight workouts (air squats, pull-ups, box jumps, push-ups..etc

Also a great time for someone your age to do ab exercises, those will help with your skiing.

go skateboarding, rollerblading, bmx, mountain biking, running, play squash, trampoline. All those things will help.

Yeah once ur hit sophomore/ freshman year ur good. I can bench 185 at 125 body weight at 15

Go hiking/running, stretch regularly, do some planks and push ups when you're bored, and go skiing. Repeat.

Plyometrics are huge. Box jumps. Dot drills.

i imagine doing stuff with yoga balls or just balance exercises in general would help with rails.

also anything for muscular endurance, i.e. running, biking, swimming will help your legs stay on the hill for longer, and squats couldn't hurt either.

Balance board/ PVC rail and ski / jumping have the most overlapping with park skiing;

gym / strength training always good supplement to any kind of sport, your school should have some sport coach to help with programm

I definitely look back and wish I had access to a trampoline as a kid. I cant even imagine how much better my skiing would be today if I had access to classes for that stuff at 14.

get some rollerblades, aggressive inline if you wanna practice balance too. Rollerbladed all summer and now can frontslide almost anything. Plus it’s a good workout. Definitely way harder than skiing
