I have narrowed it down to these two..
Shift or CAST (pivot 15) mostly inbounds use… I think so anyway bc I’m new to touring. My main question/concern is with the downhill performance/weight trade offs of the two on my particular ski -BC120. I don’t care so much about extra weight on the way up as I’m mainly skinning for the extra exercise before work on the inbounds skin track.
I’m not a pro, and see myself using them as I said mainly inbounds on deeper days at whitefish playing in the trees and side country but just want the option to burn some calories before work (just moved to whitefish and I’m hoping to get into touring, potentially)
5’10 / 185lbs and I’ll be putting them on 2022 BC 120. So I’m hoping for some feedback from anyone who has skied the BC 120 with either set up. @cydwhit ??
