I fucking hate this time of year

All I can think about is skiing. My mind is so preoccupied with thoughts of skiing I can't even function normally, I have finals to study for, but all I do is watch ski movies and read reviews for ski gear I'll never buy. I just wish this lust for skiing would continue though the winter... fuck, I think I'm going insane.

always at this time i get my "fuck this shit" mood. trying to shift my mind over to skateboarding, but not too easy when i'm too scared of fucking up my knee again.

done with school next week and will start working, just focus on working, earning that bread and try to stay in shape in my free time. sucks for a bit, but next season is coming sooner or later.

June is one of the best months of the year, the temps are perfect and the weather is great. As it has been said get a summer hobby, it makes summer fly by and you might find something you like just as much as skiing.

I work this time of year to raise funds for next ski season. It sucks to work, but it sure doesnt suck to ski everyday!

Try rock climbing. Its super cheap to start and everything can be climbed, even your house.

@Icelantic.cheese if you want something to do: I am looking for an old edit posted on this website. It was sick af. Whistler pillows, but in the resort? Dude goes bananas big. I think it was a mix of POV and follow cam. I think early in the edit they are on a piste, go of, on a ledge, this dude just sends it so big that you think he is not going to land that. After that its just a blur of pillows and follow cam in my mind. Was never able to find it again..

Also: other hobbies, start (trail) running..

Just work dude, I'll been working 5-6 days a week for the rest of the year to save up for skiing, and it really makes the time go by faster. Hard to believe we're in June already.

I have a lot of free time due to company restructuring yet will be busier than ever and working 70 hour weeks come December for 6 months or so.

I might have to quit the sport next winter save for an April Alaska pow trip or something.

Just find a decent summer gig and put your head down till late october/November. I've been working every summer since I was 14 to fund outdoor shenanigans and while it does suck and beats the body up, there's just no way of getting around the "work" aspect of "work hard, play hard" so just dig in deep
