3 ropetows/tbar no lifts, owned by park crew, 30 to 40 dollar day pass and reasonable season pass, overnight parking, shit ton of features, etc. Sort of like the windells set up but in the winter and affordable. I feel like it would be really sick idea but perhaps not great for profits
Echo Mountain Park in CO used to be basically what you are describing, but I think it wasn't very profitable and it got bought by a ski racer family for private training and long story short it is open to the public again, but only as a shadow of its former glory.
I have an echo mountain night season pass. I haven’t been once yet

The problem here is that it still required the first part of I70 to get to. Basically if you're going to head up from the front range and ski you might as well go the extra time and just go to A basin/loveland/breck etc. The big problem is there isnt quite enough snow right on the front range just outside Denver to support anything bigger. Eldora has done a decent job with their park and they are only about 20-30 minutes from Boulder. COS needs a park like Echo that is up near woodland park, its just cold enough to keep the snow for the main part of winter and is only a 20-25 minute drive from downtown.

Fuck honestly it'd be so much work with small chance of making a real profit but that would be my fucking dream to own a small little ski hill and just make it awesome
Probably unprofitable, but maybe a solvable challenge--make a large, profitable/nonprofit varied terrain park(s) that is easily accessible to people and can facilitate rapid-fire hot laps. True snow equivalent to a skatepark.

Ok but building one of these seems somewhat doable if u find a north facing slope, and then grade the dirt into having natural knolls for jumps, drop ins, pipes, hips/hipped features and qp or berms. Then u will be able to open larger jumps and stuff earlier with snowmaking and less work in a cat I’d assume. Add a rope tow and J or T bar maybe a quad if it’s long enough and then snowmaking and lights. All u need is a Park bully or a Any snow cat and then a bob cat with a fork lift.
What's whalebacks deal? Or what was their deal? I just drove past once while driving to boston for a concert. It looks pretty steep albeit not much vert.

It was meant to be a resort for park and mogul training started by an ex mogul dude but it never got off the ground aside from him wasting a shit ton of time/money on a hubba setup. Fun pre-season rail jams, some shoots using the lift building, nothing too exciting. It went bankrupt and now its owned by a non-profit, AKA communists.
