What’s can I use for material on the piece circled since it’s usually diffrent fabric then the pant

any lighter polyester or just use something a little more durable cuz why not. just stretch it out while you're sewing it on

You could get a piece of duckcloth and treat it with snowseal.
Cheap and water proof. Get a rad color and could super dope.
