I suck at skiing

Everything is in the title
I don't live in mountains and go skiing about 1 week/year. I ski since I'm kid but skiing with that frequency is not sufficient to be decent. + I've never taken a ski lesson...

And my dream is to live off ski...

Do you think is it possible ? What can I do ? I'm so frustrated every season to stay at home in my shitty town and see others ski and just having a blast

If you put your mind to it, it’s possible. Move where there’s mountains when your older and financially stable, or drive there as much as you can when you get your liscense

All you can do right now is either manifest it or take little steps for sports similar to skiing. If you are REALLY dedicated to becoming a better skiing I would start aggressive rollerblading. The physics of rail grinds are quite similar and I know several who practice aggressive rollerblading in the off months to stay in the groove. I would also consult the idea of running away from home to begin the ski bum runaway life early. All up to you.

I’d try to find a job that lets you have lots of time to ski. Most people don’t live off their actual skiing.

Eileen Gu lives 4 hours away from the resort and she just took home 3 medals. She cant ski nearly as often as most pros.

I heard this from a friend. I'm not gonna fact check it is true or not.

I'd say just ski more. Start with buying a seasons pass and go up as often as you can.

You have the wrong dream. Goal should be to have fun. Very few people make a living entirely off of skiing.
