Biffbarfok so what exactly happened with your knee? 'I had a knee injury and it still hurts' is vague
So basically I just have a chronic inflammation in the patellar tendon (Jumpers knee). But it's a bit more complicated than that.
At the very beginning of February a catched an edge on a dfd and got a little bit unlucky and tore a muscle fiber. Nothing bad but I wasn't able to ski for a few weeks/months. In this time I wasn't able to put pressure on the injured leg and did everything with my other one. This one-sided pressure affected my knee. And when I was able to ski and do sports again, I didn't start slowly. Because my friends learned a bunch of new tricks and I wanted to learn these too.
The consequence was pain in the knee that increased every time I went skiing. However, I didn't want to stop skiing again because I already had not been able to ride for the last few weeks. And I just ignored the pain until it was so bad that i couldn't really ski anymore (probably the most stupid thing I have done in my life).
In most cases you can clean out a jumpers knee by only going to the physio and doing exercises. But in my case my patella tendon was already so hard injured that it was not possible to clean it out by only doing physio. And we had do adjust the treatment. Therefore I have started with focused shock-wave therapy (not quit sure if that's the correct name in English). I have already completed the first session and recently started with the second one.
So technically my injury is not even a hard one (I didn't broke or tore anything) It's just annoying because it can take quiet a long time to clean it out.
