CraigskisI call bullshit on needing climbing shoes 2 sizes under your normal size. Some people claim it makes a difference, there's been days where my feet get too cramped wearing climbing shoes, on easier grades i've got up in steeled toed boots, or runners, obviously good climbing shoes with edges do make a difference, and going feet? I mean sure it can be done, and why would be another question. Meh to each their own... I got stuck mid-large multi-pitch with shoes too small giving me blisters, i threw them out after the climb, and now i prefer my normal size done up tightly
Young_pattyYeah dude pull up to the gym and climb barefoot- make sure to get your sweaty foot grease on all the holds and spread whatever foot fungus you have around the whole place. Climber chicks will think you’re hella organic and outdoorsy for climbing without shoes cause only the most hardcore climbers do that. Make sure to let the dirt from the floors cling to your sweaty feet before hopping on the mat’s- oh and you should be missing at least 1 toe nail before you even start climbing. Everyone at the gym will think you’re hella pro and the staff won’t mind at all.
