So I have about 15-20 days on these pivots, and the plastic areas of the heel pieces are all cracked or broken. I dont think that I am unusually hard on them, and I haven’t seen this on any of my friends’ pivots. Any ideas of why, and is it warranty worthy. I don’t think it seems like it will affect the performance.

the bigger question is are the vinnys and color changing both yours

This thread should be under gear not ski gabber.

and all of the pivots I’ve had do exactly this.
You can lose the forward pressure spring if they go much more.



Edit: you can change the angle of the dildo to prevent the bottom bracket hitting the base plate. The ski shop should of done that.

I've had that happen on my pivots before; you may have just sliced it with your other ski by accident. Has zero affect on performance though, simply cosmetic.

vinnys mine and color changings my friends, but we are going to mismatch with each other

wdym angle, like make the arms stick up more? And what about the curved crack in the same place on both dildos? im more worried about that, ik the plastic on the base plate is just like a cover for the metal

the white tab holds the spring. if the plastic cracks around that white tab enough, it will literally fall out.

you should go to the ski shop and tell them they fucked up your bindings. only 20 days right?

also, you shouldnt use your feet to take off your skis, this can cause premature wear on pivots too. they have the place to put the tip of your pole. this also stops the heel piece from just rotating away when taking off your bindings. looks/feels stupid ik. blame the french

I would totally be down to do that but I dont ride with poles anymore

Makes me think why pivots are so popular amongst ns. Not trying to open that can of worms, but I’m sure lots of people ride without poles.

The French are the biggest purists in skiing and they hate all of you. Stop buying their shit!
TuckoI would totally be down to do that but I dont ride with poles anymore
